The band’s latest album, Motörized, is their 24th to be released, and is in stores now. The 30-year rock veterans’ breakout single, “Rock Out,” is the official theme song of WWE’s Unforgiven, which airs live on pay-per-view Sept. 7. To purchase Motörizer, and for more on Motörhead, including upcoming tour dates, visit iMotorhead.com. You can also get Motörizer on iTunes.
Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee – who received a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Metal Performance – are currently on the Metal Masters tour with Judas Priest, Heaven & Hell and Testament. They’ll embark on the Volcom Tour 2008 with The Misfits, Airbourne, Valient Thorr and Year Long Disaster in early September.
The WWE Universe is no stranger to Motörhead. Every time WWE Champion Triple H – a lifelong Motörhead fan – enters the arena, it’s to the rockers’ hard-hitting “King of Kings,” which is available now on WWE: Wreckless Intent. They also penned his previous entrance themes, “The Game,” which was released on WWE: The Music, Vol. 5, Raw 15th and Motörhead’s Hammered, and “Line in the Sand,” also on Raw 15th and WWE: Theme Addict. The band has also performed live twice in front of tens of thousands of our fans at WrestleMania X-7 and WrestleMania 21.

Triple H: How’s the tour going? Lemmy Kilmister: It’s good so far. Triple H: How long have you guys been out there? Lemmy: A couple of weeks. We have to play at 6:30 in the evening. Triple H: Oh really? Oh, because that’s a big bill, right? It’s you guys, Priest, Heaven and Hell and Testament, too? Lemmy: Yeah, Testament. Triple H: Wow. So you guys go on at 6:30? Lemmy: Yeah. Triple H: You’re usually just waking up then, aren’t you? Lemmy: (laughs) Yeah, right! Triple H: So the tour is going well, though? Lemmy: Yeah, so far, so good. Triple H: How much longer do you have with them? I know you guys break out on your own after a while, right? Lemmy: Yeah, we’ve got another couple of weeks with these guys. Then we’ve got about three-weeks on our run. Triple H: I’m going to try to come on Sept. 20 when you guys are in New York at the Roseland Ballroom. I think I’m going to try to come to that one. Lemmy: Yeah, that would be good. Triple H: How’s Lemmy: The Movie coming? Lemmy: It seems to be coming along. I haven’t seen it for a while. Triple H: I saw the trailer. That was awesome. Lemmy: Yeah, that was really good, wasn’t it? Triple H: They did a really good job with it. So, I listened to the new album. It’s pretty good, man. Lemmy: You heard it? Triple H: Yeah, I like it a lot. Now, when’s it coming out? Lemmy: The 26th. Triple H: The 26th of August? Lemmy: Yeah. Triple H: That’s what number for you guys? Lemmy: It’s 21 studio albums, and like five live ones, I think. Triple H: Wow, that’s awesome. Lemmy: It’s something like that. That’s not counting the bootlegs, you know? Triple H: For our next pay-per-view, Unforgiven, we’re going to use “Rock Out,” the No. 4 track off Motörizer. Lemmy: Yeah, that’s great. Thanks. Triple H: Hey, Jericho and I were talking yesterday, too, about this – what’s the Mojo Icon Award you recently won? Lemmy: It’s a magazine in England, Mojo. It’s kind of like Rolling Stone. Triple H: Oh, all right. Lemmy: A bit better than Rolling Stone. It covers a lot of music, but it’s mostly old music. The Icon or Hero Award it was or something. Triple H: That’s cool. So the tour’s going well, then? Everybody’s good? Mikkey’s good? Lemmy: Yeah, everybody’s good. Triple H: Phil sent me a picture of himself the other day. It was him and Dio, and Phil was wearing a pink tutu, with full make up on and everything. Lemmy: I know, yeah. Very strange. Triple H: He sent me that picture and I sent him a text back that said, “Man, that Dio, can can still pull some a**, can’t he?” (laughs) Lemmy: (laughs) Triple H: Yeah, he still gets some weird a**. So everything else is good for you? Lemmy: Yeah, I’m fine so far, you know. All you’ve got is so far, so good, isn’t it? Triple H: Yeah, exactly. Well you’re at home or you’re out on the road, doing what you do. So that’s good. Lemmy: Yeah, well, this is my home now. Triple H: Exactly. Jericho was telling me he went to the Rainbow the other night and they have a big banner up with your face on it now. It says, “The home of Lemmy.” Lemmy: Yeah, apparently, yeah. (laughs) Triple H: (laughs) Have they bronzed your seat in the corner yet? Lemmy: They haven’t bronzed it yet. I was thinking of trying to get them to make me a special one – solid gold with jewels all over it. Triple H: The big throne in the corner, right? Lemmy: Like the pope, you know? Triple H: We’ll get you a pope hat and everything. Lemmy: (laughs) Triple H: Do you have anything else you want to say about the new album, Motörizer? Lemmy: Just go out and buy two copies, you won’t be sorry. It’s a good album, you know. Triple H: It’s very good. I like Kiss of Death a lot, too. I thought that was a hell of an album. Lemmy: I like Kiss of Death. I think this is just as good. Triple H: I do, too. I think it’s great. I think “Rock Out” is a really good song, too. They sent me the disc and asked me which songs I liked for Unforgiven. They were thinking about using “Heroes,” and I said it was a good song… Lemmy: It’s too slow. Triple H: It’s too slow for what we want it for. You want something that has some kick to it. I think that’s “Rock Out.” Lemmy: Yeah, you want power. Triple H: “Rock Out” is the song to go with. Lemmy: Yeah, really. Triple H: It’s good. I look forward to seeing you at the Roseland show in New York City on the 20th and we’ve got to get you back out to one of our shows soon. Lemmy: Yeah, it’s about time, yeah. Triple H: We’ll see if we can get that done. Lemmy: Why don’t we talk about it when I see you? Triple H: All right, Lem. Have a hell of a show, man. Lemmy: Yeah, I love you, man. Triple H: Love you, too, man. Take care. Lemmy: See you soon. Triple H: All right, bye-bye.
