They say you never forget your first time, and Triple H knows that all too well. For his Wrestlemania debut, he was matched with an opponent who has been less than revered, both personally and professionally, in the wrestling industry.
"My first time," says Triple H with a sly grin, "I wrestled the Ultimate Warrior. But it's not one of my favorite (fights) because of the type of person he is." In spite of personal issues, Wrestlemania has lived up to it's advance billing for Triple H. "We play to packed houses almost every night, and we do live television every week. If it's possible, Wrestlemania (the wrestling event of the year) is even better," says Triple H, also known as The Game. "I found out early on that Wrestlemania is an event unto itself. It's the Super Bowl and the seventh game of the World Series all rolled into one."
Fans may not be aware of this, but there's a very good chance that The Game will be making some of the rules in Houston. In recent months, Triple H (Hunter to his friends) has been taking a more active role in the daily creative aspect of the WWF. "First and foremost I'm still a wrestler," he emphasizes. "But I really enjoy hashing out ideas and coming up with storylines. Whether I have input into my story or someone else's, or even help set up a match, I do whatever it takes to continue to make us the best entertainment product out there."
