It began quickly with an exchange of pinfalls and then some brawling before H3 took control with some hard clotheslines. After less than 5 minutes Stephanie was 'accidentally' clotheslined over the top rope by Angle to which HHH smiled and waved goodbye as she was carried backstage. Kurt Angle then went on the offensive with 3 German Suplexes, 3 belly to belly overhead suplexes and a sleeper. HHH found strength and powerbombed Angle from the turnbuckle. Then the brawling skills of the pair shone and their slugfests had good credibility with even the most doubtful wrestling fans. A few minutes later and Angle knocked out replacement ref Tim White who was replaced by the returning Stephanie McMahon. H3 kicked out of 3 pins in succession and somehow Steph was back on her backside while Tripper pinned Angle 1,2,3,4,5….3000 (as the crowd counted for him). With HHH annoyed Angle fetched a chair but got a pedigree for his efforts. Tim White was suddenly awake to count the pinfall only to be elbowed in the head by Steph. Tripper lost his rag, went to pedigree Steph, Angle hit him with the chair twice, gave him an Angle Slam and won the match in a corporate screw job on The Game.
