Scott Steiner came out first followed by Triple H accompanied by Ric Flair.
The match started with Steiner trying to intimidate Triple H before running into a cotton elbow tie up followed by an arm wrench by Steiner. Steiner then put on an armbar which brought Triple H down to one knee, Hunter punched his way out & bashed Steiner's head into the turnbuckle. Triple H delivered one punch before Steiner kicked him in his already injured thigh muscle (Which was heavily taped). Triple H then ran to the opposite turnbuckle to recuperate.
Both men then went in for a second cotton elbow tie up with Steiner immediately going for Triple H's injured leg forcing Hunter into the turnbuckle. Steiner delivered a number of punches to the injured thigh before Triple H reversed it & began pounding on Steiner, but that was then counted as Steiner continued to beat down The Game.
Triple H attempted a knee to the groin but Steiner counted & delivered a clothesline then an elbow drop. Steiner then again tried to intimidate Triple H by performing push-ups as he lie next to him.
As Hunter crawled to a nearby turnbuckle, Steiner pulled him back & tried to rip off the bandage on Hunter's injured knee, Hunter kicked him in the face by was brought down again by a kick to the thigh, Steiner then delivered an elbow & continue to try & remove the bandage. Steiner delivered a few kicks to the knee & then delivered an elbow pulling back on the knee, Triple H broke it up, got back on his feet, but was yet again floored after a kick to the thigh by Steiner.
Triple H then got back to his feet & again brought down by Steiner, Big Poppa Pump then got out the ring & pulled Triple H's injured knee outside & bashed it against the ring apron. Steiner got back in the ring & delivered a suplex to Hunter. Steiner then attempted one of the ultimate insults by placing The Game in the figure four-leglock (Ric Flair's finisher) As Triple H scream in pain Flair racked Steiner's eyes to brake the hold. Steiner then ran after Flair & delivered a right hand. Steiner then got back on the apron but Triple H knocked him down with Steiner hitting his head on the ring steps, Hunter took this time to recuperate for a few seconds.
Steiner tried to get back in the ring but Hunter kicked him away & as Hunter distracted the referee, Flair choked Freakzilla with his jacket. Triple H then got out of the ring & threw Steiner into the steel steps, Hunter then picked him up & threw him back in the ring & delivered a neck breaker with got The Game a two-count. Triple H then began pounding away at Steiner & bashed his head against the ring post, both men then began trading right hands before Triple H delivered another neck breaker & got another two-count. Hunter then threw Steiner into the turnbuckle & delivered shoulder shots the Steiner's stomach, both men again traded right hands before Triple H attempted to irish whip Steiner which was reversed, Triple H kicked Steiner in the face, attempted a clothesline but was met with a belly-to-belly from Big Poppa Pump.
Steiner then began chopping Triple H down & sent him flying into the opposite turnbuckle. Triple H then caught Steiner with a kick to the face & attempted a pinfall with is feet on the ropes but the referee saw it. Triple H then tried to get disqualified by pushing the referee. Earl Hebner was going to call for the bell but then shouted at Hunter to continue wrestling, Hunter responded by pushing the referee to the floor. Earl got right back in Triple H's face as Steiner hit Hunter from behind, delivered an irish whip & a back body drop.
Steiner again began chopping Triple H down, & delivered another belly-to-belly & a two count from the referee. Triple H slid into the nearby turnbuckle as Steiner again began beating him down, Steiner then attempted an irish whip but Triple H had a hold of the ropes, The velocity of Steiner's strength sent Hunter the outside.
Ric Flair again tried to get involved as Steiner bashed Hunter's head against the ring post. Steiner then took Triple H back into the ring & delivered some right hands followed by a third
belly-to-belly, this got Steiner another two count. Steiner then placed Hunter on the top rope & delivered an Angle slam type move, sending Triple H crashing the mat. this move also only got Steiner a two count thanks to Ric Flair. (This was the move he used on Chris Jericho to win this Title shot).
Steiner then slapped on the 'Steiner Recliner', at which point Ric Falir began waving for help, with that Randy Orton & Batista ran down to ringside but were beat down by Steiner. Big Poppa Pump got back in the ring & immediately knocked Flair off the apron. Triple H then attempted a Pedigree but Sterner reversed it & delivered more right hands & clotheslined 'The Game', to the outside. Steiner then threw Randy Orton off the turnbuckle to the mat & threw into Batista.
While Steiner was distracted by Flair, Orton & Batista, as he turned round Triple H nailed him in the face with the World Heavyweight Title belt, this move only got Hunter a two count. Triple H then finally delivered the 'Pedigree' & retain the World Heavyweight Championship!
Evolution then celebrated at the top of the entrance way!
