Site Born - June 20, 2001

The Beginning:
Triple H Unleashed started out in June 2001 as a few pages with one of the free Angelfire accounts. I've been a Triple H fan for what seems like forever, so I had tons of pics of him and other stuff saved of my pc. I added more content a little at a time, but to be honest the early versions were HORRIBLE lol. I knew basic html, but that was about it. I was getting about 50 hits a month by this time, and I'm guessing most of those were the same people that knew me and knew about the site visiting over and over ;) So around the middle of December 2001, I decided to take the site down for awhile, learn a little more about html and java, and re-do everything.

The Re-Birth:
On January 4, 2002, in honor of Hunter's first match back in the WWF, the site was re-opened. Everything was completely different. I had tons more content, several new sections, and I'd registered the Triple H Unleashed domain name. Still on the angelfire server, the free account no longer had enough space for everything I wanted to put up. I wanted to add theme music, some video clips; things like that. Well, those things take A LOT of space. So I upgraded to an Angelfire plus account and added extra disk space. Things were going great, and then one day I started getting emails saying people weren't able to access the site. I checked it out, and found out I'd gone over the alotted bandwidth for the account! So...I added more. I've had to do that twice since then. Basically, we've outgrown the Angelfire server. I'm currently looking into web hosting, but haven't yet found a host that offers the feaures and bandwidth I want for what I would consider a reasonable price. Anybody reading this that knows of one, please let me know about it :)

The First Move:
In May 2002, I finally found a hosting company I *thought* would be perfect. So I bought a hosting package from Active Web Hosting and moved the site in. The first couple of months were great, but then I started noticing that sometimes random images would appear on the site...that I didn't put there :\ Turns out AWH doesn't sell certain amounts of bandwidth with their packages, which in hindsite I should have known would be a problem. The site got so slow that some days I could barely get it to load. So in August, I purchased another domain, and moved some of my content there. This seemed to help, and things were quiet for a while. But as the site started getting more visitors, and I bought a capture card and started adding more images, the bandwidth monster reared it's ugly head again. By this point we're into October 2002, so I foolishly purchased yet another domain, and started moving stuff again. Once again, a temporary fix that didn't last long. By mid-December I was in the same boat yet again, and I wasn't about to buy ANOTHER domain. So I went on the hunt again...

The Second Move:
In January 2003, I once again found what I thought would be the perfect answer for me. I purchased a custom hosting package from Cyber Pixels, and spent several days moving the site. Once everything was set, the difference was amazing! The site was so much faster, and the random images were a thing of the past. But here's the thing...when something seems to good to be true, it usually is :\ After 3 or 4 months, the bandwidth I'd purchased wasn't enough anymore. I added more once, and everything was fine. Then the site exceeded it's bandwidth again, and when I tried to add more, Cyber Pixels basically ignored my requests. The first of August rolled around a couple of days later and the bandwidth re-set for the new month, which got the site back up. I continued to try all of August to upgrade my package, and never did get a response. Needless to say, by this point, I was pissed! So down goes the site again, and there's nothing I can do about it. So I started shopping around for a new host...again!

The Third Move:
In September 2003, I moved all my sites to Netrillium. And if you're still reading at this point, you're a real trooper, so I'll get to the point lol. Netrillium has got to be THE BEST hosting company out there! The support is second to none, and what I'm spending on this package considering the amount of bandwidth and space the site is currently using is very reasonable IMO. So I think I've finally found a permanent home here on the net :)
April 2006:
Still going lol. I've switched servers at least a dozen times over the last few years, had personal issues that kept me offline for most of late 2004/early 2005, and off and on since, but haven't yet been able to convince myself to close the site. I'm just as big a fan as I always was, but just don't have the time any more to keep up with the site like I used to. Still, I can't see closing it any time soon. It's been around for too long, and I still enjoy knowing it's here to work on when I have the time. I switched servers again late last month, and if there are any more problems, will probably be going to a dedicated server. This site is over a GIG in size, and uses 175-200 GIGs of bandwidth a month. That's just not really conductive to a shared hosting company, I suppose.

At any rate, in June of this year, the site will be 5 years old. I've enjoyed working on it, and have met a lot of wonderful people because of it through the years. So here's to another 5 (I hope)!!!
